Canada-Ontario-Mississauga Job Summary To recruit customers and promote, apply, and sell Vertiv branded products from Liebert and Avocent including UPS, KVM, Server Cabinets, Power Distribution and Infrastructure Management and Monitoring.
Develop a qualified partner network of IT, integrator, and electrical partners. Establish and maintain customer profiles, monitor competitor actions, and research potential business to grow Vertiv’s business in the region.
Promote Liebert & Avocent products and solution bundles to end users, partners, consulting engineering firms and contractors via sales calls, lunch & learns, and trade events.
Visit 2-3 customers per day. Assist them to analyze and develop solutions to their needs by application of Liebert products.
Determine & help write up customer’s specifications, prepare estimates / quotes / proposals, prepare submittal drawings, process orders for fabrication, and monitor the progress of production through to delivery.
Receive incoming requests from customers for Liebert / Avocent products and services. Provide technical sales support to customers such as product features, applications, best practices, prices, proposals and delivery schedules.
Visit customer offices and job sites to determine status of projects and provide support. Maintain regular contact with existing clients and keep them updated on new developments of Liebert products including product features, benefits and applications.
Maintain good relations & open communication with customer on on-going basis.
Build a network of reseller partners. Engage in channel programs and channel selling via Distribution Partners. Get YoY growth via the channel.
Process clean orders per policy including collection of a valid PO with correct equipment bill of material, pricing, taxes, terms of payment, delivery schedules and agreed conditions.
Ensure factory orders flow to site when built and ready for shipment. Coordinate & collaborate with other departments including Order Entry, Shipping, and Service to ensure efficient sales operations.
Prepare and carry out presentations of the product line to new and on-going customers.
Provide product training and on site demonstrations, where required.
Collect market data, process into reports summarizing customer and competitor actions, marketing strategy. Maintain and update CRM customer database to prepare and present forecasting reports and key project updates.
Assist with collection of overdue accounts and to clear credit holds.
Mitigate holds on new orders to ensure smooth flow of finished goods to customers when ready to ship.
Support the service and tech support departments with information on possible clients, field service issues, technical support requirements to aid in efficient handoff from Sales to Service and customer satisfaction.

Minimum formal education required to learn this job
Post secondary diploma in electrical, computer science, or sales & marketing with related sales experience, preferably in computer networking environment.
Must be knowledgeable about company products and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as a valid driver’s license.
On-going product training essential.
Experience : The break-in period that is normally required to satisfactorily perform the essential content of the job : Up to 1 year.
Guidance and direction regarding commercial and technical aspects of the sale. Provides market intelligence. Gives general guidance in inventory levels and marketing opportunities.
Drives automobile as part of work, exposed to potential accidents.
Internal : With sales / credit / stock, giving and receiving information : with tech support for product updates and product related issues.
External : Regular outside contact with customer. Negotiation required.
Some customer sites require hard hats, safety shoes. Frequent exposure to traffic. Must lift up to 40 pounds on occasion.
