Are you a dedicated, diligent compliance professional? Want to join a dynamic, diverse team? An exciting opportunity in our Dublin office is available as a Global Financial Crimes Compliance Specialist within Dublin GFCC and Operational Risk for Financial Crimes including Fraud.

You will assist GFCC business partners in support of the identification, critical issue and timely mitigation of compliance risks in alignment with the Compliance Risk Management (CRM) Program and the Financial Crimes and Global Compliance Enterprise Policies (GC Policy).

You are responsible for ensuring consistent quality of activities, processes and outputs by engaging in effective review practices across the team.

You will be supporting the Country MLRO in Ireland (MLRO) in the execution of their role including implementing and adhering to the Global Compliance Standard Operating Procedures and executing the requirements that comprise CRM.

What will your main responsibilities involve?

  • Assisting the MLRO with oversight of the Front Line Units’ and Control Functions’ implementation of, and evaluating the adherence to, our GFCC Policy and Standards (both enterprise and country level), as applicable, in their region
  • Assisting the MLRO with oversight of the development and maintenance of the Country Level Standards for the jurisdictions within their region in accordance with the requirements of Company’s Financial Crimes Compliance Policy, to include oversight of the maintenance of the inventory of laws, rules and guidance which form the jurisdiction’s legal framework relating to financial crimes compliance
  • Conduct of financial crimes risk assessments, as required and in accordance with GFCC’s Risk Assessment processes
  • Leading testing activities and assisting with building the associated plans. This may include the recommending new testing activities or revising existing testing activities
  • Effective identification and management of any risks, issues or improvements associated with our GFCC policy
  • The appropriate raising of any matter relating to the implementation or execution of our GFCC Policy and Standards, as applicable, business leaders
  • Assisting the MLRO with any examination by a regulatory authority in Ireland
  • In conjunction with the MLRO and with the assistance, where required, of other key members of GFCC conducting investigations relating to potentially suspicious activity
  • Contributing to the completion and submission of a management information reports
  • Collaborating with the MLRO in the provision of input to GFCC Training undertaken in Ireland
  • What skills and qualifications will you ideally possess?

    Qualifications :

  • Educated to degree level or having equivalent experience
  • Legal, Compliance or Regulatory qualifications are helpful
  • Skills :

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and solid influencing capability across all levels of management and with regulators
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • You can make decisions in a high-energy, rapidly changing environment
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to self-identify priorities, deliver to deadline and handle challenging demands and partners
  • Great teammate, willing to interact and discuss issues in a team environment
  • Competencies :

  • A deep understanding of relevant financial crime related legislation ideally acquired through having worked in the regulated sector
  • Keen interest in the securities markets and banking world, regulation and changing legislation
  • Experience in dealing with regulators
  • Sound risk management skills and an ability to apply good judgement, take decisions when required and to call out issues when necessary
  • A flexible and solution driven perspective, able to solve problems and a determination to seek answers to complex issues
  • The ability to synthesise laws, rules and regulations into practice
