Who we are

Resources, Investments & Insurance (RII) is a dynamic and diverse place to work in Retail, Corporate & Business Banking (RCB) at AIB.

We are responsible for the largest element of the non-lending product suite of the bank, from Current and Deposit Accounts to our Wealth management and General Insurance offerings across all our channels, brands (incl.

EBS) and jurisdictions (incl. UK).

In addition to our core product ownership responsibilities, we :

  • Provide wealth advisory services and asset management for our private nigh net worth (HNW) clients with over €200m under management across our HNW investments and pension offerings.
  • Have portfolio ownership of Resources (Deposits and Current Accounts) managing the customer funding at the optimised cost for the Group to support our lending agenda and our customer relationships.
  • Are the portfolio manager of non-interest income for RCB, driving the non-interest strategies to achieve greater growth and diversification in RCB’s income and enabling us to differentiate, remain relevant and drive customer advocacy.
  • With the product offering which forms the platform for our customer relationships, we must be at the forefront of innovation and strategic thinking in pursuit of truly customer oriented product propositions which deliver our customer strategies and support our group ambition to be at the heart of our customers’ financial lives.

    Your next challenge

    A vacancy now exists for a Bank Official within the Bancassurance Products Team. The role holder will be responsible for assisting with the day-

    to-day operational activities of the Bancassurance Products Team and ensuring that the Bancassurance proposition (products and processes) is compelling, innovative, relevant and fit for purpose.

    The role holder will support the Bancassurance Product Manager in helping to drive the operational & strategic objectives required to deliver on an ambitious agenda for 2018.

    The role holder will work collaboratively with our third party provider and internally, with our key Group stakeholders such as Group Marketing, Compliance, Operational Risk, Legal & CFP to aid in the delivery of market leading propositions that create value and positive outcomes for our customers.

    The Bancassurance Bank Official role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to take on the challenge of helping to shape a high performing team, in an area of the business targeted for strong growth in the short and medium term.

    Your challenges

  • To aid with the design and delivery of product offerings and channel strategies to provide compelling, competitive and relevant customer propositions across all channels, in conjunction with our external provider and our internal partners.
  • Assist with the various change projects which will ensure that the AIB offering is as competitive as possible.
  • Represent the Bancassurance Product team at product and regulatory project working groups.
  • Assist with the preparation and approval of internal and external product documentation, training and communications.
  • Help manage the integrity of the products with our partners to ensure that products and processes are compliant and robust, and in line with best industry standards.
  • Working with Integrity and control team to manage this agenda.

    What you’ll need

  • Business Related Honours Degree (2.2 grade) OR 360 points achieved in Leaving Certificate OR QFA APA Loans AND a minimum of 5 passes in the Leaving Cert including Ordinary or Higher level Maths and English.
  • Candidates will expected to produce evidence of this if successful

  • Demonstrate the ability to work on own initiative and within teams with experience of working to tight deadlines, attention to detail and completing tasks to a very high degree of accuracy.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
