class biotechnology facility in Dublin where they will have the opportunity to help shape the future of biotech in Ireland and play a significant role in the next chapter of our invention and discovery story.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a unique opportunity for the right person to be part of a multi-talented, multidisciplinary team shaping, creating, building and growing MSD Biotech, Dublin.

This person will manage a number of projects relating to the scale-up of a Biologics Manufacturing Operation, playing a pivotal role in the manufacture of MSD’s biologics-based medicines.

Dublin, Ireland has been chosen for MSD’s first ever Large-Scale Mammalian-Based Drug Substance Facility. Construction on this exciting new facility will commence immediately and we require a highly-

skilled team of leaders to steer its entire development, with the mission and ambition to manufacture breakthrough medicines from Ireland for patients around the world.

This facility will be a significant supplier of drug substance for one of MSD’s key treatments and will also be critical in the future supply of new biotechnology products to our global network.

The role of PMO / Biologics Manufacturing Procurement Lead requires an ambitious, dynamic individual with proven capabilities to coordinate, prioritise and lead multiple projects, who is highly-

experienced in procurement category management, as well as project management.

THE ROLE

The PMO / Biologics Manufacturing Procurement Lead for MSD Biotech Dublin will be responsible for developing and executing strategic projects and supporting the site’s operating objectives, ensuring that procedures and processes are securely established to support the site’s launch and growth plans.

This dynamic, experienced individual will be willing to create breakthrough strategies which deliver quick-wins and generate legitimate business value, always driving innovation.

A dynamic, experienced individual, the PMO / Biologics Manufacturing Procurement Lead will have excellent communication skills and will need to lead with initiative and ambition.

In the first two years of site development, this person will be responsible for ensuring the facility is manufacture-ready.

Such a role necessitates leadership in the following areas :

o Supply risk management

o Supplier performance improvement

o Cost reduction

o Supplier diversity development

o Working capital involvement

o And Supplier relationship management

Stakeholder engagement will be a key aspect of this role. The PMO / Biologics Manufacturing Procurement Lead will closely partner with a wide range of internal in the establishment, communication and implementation of business goals.

This role will also involve successful management of relationships with external contacts to ensure optimal team performance.

Ensuring that every supplier relationship is established with intent of future continuous improvement is key, and the PMO / Biologics Manufacturing Procurement Lead will be responsible for leading and managing the measurement and review process to ensure delivery of expectations.

THE CANDIDATE

With a Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Engineering, Science, Supply Chain or Procurement-related area potentially to MBA or advanced degree level, the PMO / Biologics Manufacturing Procurement Lead will have extensive professional expertise in procurement and programme management within the biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment (>

5 years), as well as experience working with senior leaders (3-5 years) and in large-scale organisational change initiatives.

Ideally, the PMO / Biologics Manufacturing Procurement Lead will have experience in the biologics product manufacturing environment and a proven track record in project management and biologics operations scale-up experience.
