Mixologist / Brand Specialist - Prestige Team
Location : Simmonscourt House, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4
Pernod Ricard has a growing portfolio of Prestige Spirits & Champagne brands which are highly profitable e.g. Redbreast, Spot Range, Method & Madness, Midleton Very Rare, Monkey 47, Absolut Elyx & Perrier Jouet.
While these brands are experiencing strong growth in the Irish market at present we are not fully maximising the opportunity they represent.
In recent times, other Pernod Ricard affiliates have set up a dedicated business unit focusing solely on these brands with great success and we have decided to leverage this best practice, as the growth they can deliver will play a key role in realising our 50 in 5 ambition for the Republic of Ireland.
The purpose of this role is to integrate and develop the brands within Irish Distillers Prestige Portfolio into strategically selected accounts in the Irish market.
To research, test, develop and nurture the growth of Irish Distillers Prestige brands through driving trade and consumer advocacy, visibility, distribution and rate of sale by utilising the key business and ambassador tools of training, events, drinks development and PR.
Key Responsibilities :
Identify with the Key Account Manager opportunities within the On and Off-trade for the Irish Distillers portfolio.
Develop and implement a plan to help grow brand advocacy, distribution and visibility for your brands
across the targeted On and Off- Trade account.
Maximise opportunities through trade network to gain new listings and enhanced visibility for your
brands across selected accounts and possible new accounts cross segmentation.
Conduct tutored tastings to industry leading standards, achieving marketing and commercial objectives.
Be the 'face' of your brands in dealing with trade press / PR activity.
Host your brand consumer and trade events leaving participants feeling highly engaged with your
Drive drink development for your brands across all sectors of the trade.
Deliver monthly updates of all Advocacy project activity.
Maintain the Social media updates for the Prestige brands .
Key skills / requirements :
Experience working as a Bar Manager 3-5 years within the On-Trade environment.
Expert mixology skills.
Expert knowledge of spirits category and manufacturing process.
Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
In depth knowledge of the On-Trade environment.
Bar tending experience.
Good network of On-Trade contacts.
Desirable : WSET Certificate.
General Certificate in Distilling.
Fundamental understanding of professional selling and planning tools.
Previous training / education experience in the drinks industry.
Experience working as a Brand Ambassador.
Key account / national account sales though on / off / wholesale and basic understanding of Route to Market.
Please note some International Travel is required with this role.
