Responsibilities include :

  • The chosen candidate would typically be responsible for the following (but not exclusively);
  • Providing leadership and direction to a team of engineers supporting all Patient Supply Projects and NPI / Technical Transfer Processes

    Lead the Patient Supply Project Review Process

    Lead the execution of large and medium Patient Supply Engineering Projects

    Own Equipment Validation for the Patient Supply Engineering Organisation

    Lead planning and execution of standard and non-standard plant shutdowns

    Support the Patient Supply Engineering Strategy in the prioritisation and execution of these activities to maximise plant performance and plant capacity.

    Support the ADL Product Teams portfolio of New Product Introduction and Technology Transfer projects by supply of technical transfer specialists to complete engineering deliverables.

    Represent the Engineering Department at Product Review.

    To liaise with the Process / Equipment Senior Engineering Manager to allocate projects, balance resources across the teams, and create seamless execution of medium and long term priorities across the two groups.

    To liaise with Site Support Engineering Projects to support Capital Projects impact on Patient Supply Engineering objectives.

    To deliver operationally ready equipment changes to the production environment.

    To develop process and equipment SME as required across the engineering department and provide opportunities for development of expertise in the engineering development.

    To partner with network peers on network initiatives

    To attract, retain and develop a strong team of engineers to meet the needs of Patient Supply into the future

    Support the Site Engineering Council

    Represent Patient Supply Engineering through internal and external audit programs.

    Basic Qualifications :

    Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical / Electronic, Software / Chemical) or equivalent qualification and or experience

    8 years' experience in cGMP manufacturing environment

    Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to build teams and operate across functional boundaries, both internal and external

    Significant relevant industrial experience

    Preferred Experience

    Typically 10+ years engineering experience in a pharmaceutical environment

    5 years' experience in aseptic fill / finish manufacturing

    5 years people management experience

    Project Management experience
