Role Description

This role is critical to the success of the Operational Excellence (Opex) function. The CI Business Partner will be the lynchpin between the business and the Opex function, ensuring that we understand the business problems and define the best solutions.

Working with the other Opex functions and Change you will drive the generation and identification of new ideas that reduce expense and create more efficient processes whilst building strong relationships with our stakeholders.

Open-minded, self-starting, pro-active and familiar with a range of service design techniques; you will have a passion for improving operational efficiency and a desire to provide a best in class processes for our employees, customers and brokers.

  • Demand Management
  • Lead the engagement with the business owners to understand their priorities, agenda and pain points
  • Work with the business owners to ID ideas and size the opportunities ensuring that solution workshops are commercially valuable
  • Create a backlog of work that is supported by the business and drives value
  • Project Management
  • Feed into overall Change Governance processes (including PAB, CAB, Project Documentation), managing these across the function
  • Actively managing inflight projects to ensure smooth delivery across the OpEx function (rag status, dependencies, risks, assumptions, opportunities and issues)
  • Solution Design
  • Run workshops with business SMEs, facilitating and contributing to the generation, review and iteration of product and services across various customer, broker and employee touch points, channels and eco-
  • systems that continually feed the Opex hopper

  • Drive collaboration across the relevant functions to define the best solutions and create a regular operating rhythm
  • Lead and influence through articulation of value and appropriateness of the Opex toolkit

  • Embed service design as a way of working throughout the business to drive our digital first approach and ensure new opportunities are surfaced
  • Promote agile methodologies and champion collaborative ways of working
  • The role will typically be measured with the following : Customer NPS ROI of Opex Programme Number of workshops held and number of ideas translated to deliveries Team collaboration & engagement Demand management & prioritisation
