We are currently recruiting for an experienced Supervisor to join our team based our new restaurant, SoMa The Spire in Dublin City Centre on O'Connell Street.

  • The Supervisor provides on-going support to the Restaurant Manager to ensure the unit meets / exceeds the targets established for their individual unit.
  • As the Supervisor you will supervise the total catering operations and employees of the unit. On-going support and development is given to you from your Restaurant Manager, and various management duties will be delegated as necessary. Operations

  • Responsibility for the supervision of staff and allocation of their duties.
  • Ensure the unit is presented professionally at all times, with food menus and displays updated daily.
  • Assist with weekly stock takes.
  • Ensure the security of stock and cash at all times.
  • Delivery procedures must be followed ensuring that all stock is secure and accurate, records and stock checks are completed as per the schedule.
  • We operate on a just in time principle which requires liaison with the chef.

    Food Hygiene

  • Ensure that food hygiene standards are adhered to and comply with E.H.O, Q.A, and H.A.C.C.P requirements.
  • Complete all necessary records in accordance with company procedures.
  • Finance

  • Over see that the Unit runs smoothly and professionally and opening / closing procedures are followed in the absence of the Manager.
  • Place stock orders in line with Axapta
  • Ensure all deliveries are on time and dockets are processed accordingly to head office.
  • Balance tills and process daily cash sheets through Axapta.
  • Assist in achieving the unit’s maximum profitability and overall success by controlling cost and quality of service
  • Health & Safety

  • Ensure adequate stocks of cleaning materials and equipment are maintained. Ensure COSHH regulations are up to date and guidelines in the use of PPE are accurate.
  • On-going awareness of all areas occupied by KSG and completion of maintenance request forms for necessary repairs.
  • Customer Service

  • Ensure all aspects of production and presentation of service meets the high quality standards expected by customers.
  • Always be available to deal with any concerns that customers may have and seek a solution to every issue that goes beyond what might ordinarily be expected.
  • Respond to Customer Comments Cards’ & communicate details to all colleagues.

    Ace Quality Assurance

  • Follow up on ACE Audits.
  • Communicate with staff ensuring that all staff are aware of the company standards and their responsibilities.
  • Hospitality Management

  • Overseeing the effective delivery of the Hospitality requirement to the client in line with KSG tailor made hospitality offering and costings.
  • Training& Development
  • Provide clear direction and authority to employees.
  • Continuous on the job training of all staff and organisation of re-training when required.
  • Regularly communicate with the team on any customer feedback.
  • Promote a positive attitude towards work and always lead by example. Direct the team to exceed the needs of our customers.
  • Assist with the development of staff and encourage good team work, maximising motivation and staff morale.
  • People Management

  • Assist the Unit Manager in staff recruitment and training for the Unit.
  • Supervise employees and efficiently co-ordinate their daily duties.
  • Be available to deal with any staff welfare issues and if necessary, participate in grievance, disciplinary or capability issues.
  • Record attendance, sick, lateness and disciplinary issues of all employees in the Employee File.
  • Ensure all staff work the required hours and that the correct break periods are observed.
  • Assist management with staff discipline when required.
  • Monitor and control the performance of all catering assistants and ensure the correct standards are achieved in all areas.
  • Requirements - Experience in a 4 or 5 star dining environment is essential - Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required -
