Mission

Description of the Business Line or Department

Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) has been active in Ireland for 20 years and is a leading player in servicing Irish domiciled and offshore collective investment vehicles.

We act locally as fund administrator and depositary for a wide range of international clients who manage schemes from UCITS to AIFs including private equity and real estate structures, hedge funds and special investment vehicles.

Summary of the Key Purposes of the Role

Reporting to the Custody Manager, the Custody Administrator is responsible for, amongst other things; overseeing custody requirements with regard to Irish and non-

Irish domiciled collective investment schemes to ensure they are operational, with regard to cash, securities and corporate actions settlement and ensuring the correct setup of accounts for these schemes in general.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Organise account opening as requested by clients both within the SGSS custody network and externally (3rd party bank).
  • Calculation of client invoices and distribution of invoices to clients on a monthly basis.
  • Performing a daily monitoring of cash transactions, maintaining following up on any unrecognised transactions as part of the AIFMD requirements.
  • Attend to client access needs with respect to the SGSS custody interface.
  • Liaise with SGSS Networks team on global sub-custody account openings. Monitor risk related to the sub-custody net-work (credit ratings, quality, recurrent issues .
  • and report them to management.
  • Prepare & review monthly reporting on custody desk activities.
  • Liaise with the clients / custody back office / fund administrators - re : various custody matters / issues (reconciliations, settlements, corporate action ...).
  • Manage ad hoc queries concerning SG Dublin clients originating from SGSS tax departments. Liaise with legal authorities and SGSS tax department to ensure necessary tax documentation is in place for client funds.
  • Investigate and document new service offerings provided by departments of both SGSS and other entities within the group.
  • Maintaining accurate record keeping and asset verification as part of the AIFMD requirements.
  • Gather and maintain FATCA & CRS database
  • Maintenance of internal client database and input of new client data.

  • Work Experience

  • Previous experience in a financial service environment
  • Education

  • Business or finance qualification an advantage
