Brightwater is delighted to be retained in the search for a Demand Planner. The purpose of the role is to create an accurate Demand forecast by Customer using the tools and information available.

This will drive optimisation of the supply chain and ensures that the needs of our customers & consumers are met. This role is the central point of contact from a forecasting perspective for the category and sales team within their segment.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Co-pilot to the Sales Team delivering insights and providing expertise on historical / market trends and customer behaviours to influence and increase forecast accuracy
  • Lead the Demand Planning Process including Demand Planning Meetings by customer for the product segment to support growth, shape agenda and drive strong forecasting accuracy
  • Accountable for accurate FY and LT forecast (0-24 months) using insights from Category, Customer and historical forecasting data to feed our S&OP+ business forecast
  • Be accountable for the base forecast by customer & brand format including New Product Introductions and Portfolio Optimisation assumptions
  • Participate and share insights from a brand planning perspective in periodical PMR (S&OP+ process)
  • Lead quarterly Brand Planning Meetings to agree an accurate medium & long-term plan reflecting market trends and key levers of growth / decline
  • Guarantee best practices sharing and simplified processes by driving strong activity management E2E processes
  • Lead collaboration with inventory controllers to optimise our service levels to customers via improved Sales Forecasting Accuracy
  • Adjust promotional forecasts reflecting customer orders and send up-to-date demand plan on a weekly basis to the factories
  • Complete post promotional analysis for key customers and implement learnings for future activities
  • Lead promotional collaboration process directly with Customer Supply Teams
  • Drive continuous improvements utilising planning tools & systems and ensure accuracy of data interfaces between all planning systems
  • Requirements :

  • Third level Degree
  • Strong influencing and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Planning & organisational skills
  • Capable of driving change and adapting / improving current processes
  • A consistent track record of achievement
  • High numerate and computer literacy skills
  • SAP experience would be beneficial but not essential
  • 2-3 years business experience
