Human Resources Business Partner

The Human Resources team provides client focused people solutions that drive business results in partnership with the Dublin organization.

Reporting to the Head of HR Ireland, the HR Business Partner partners directly with leaders and teams to provide client-focused people solutions that drive results based on business strategy and objectives.

The individual in this role will guide business leaders and assigned areas in the human resources processes such as performance management, talent management, change management and leadership development.

We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic individual, with demonstrated analytical and technical skills to be part of our team.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assume day to-day business partnership responsibilities and accountabilities ensuring delivery of HR objectives and solutions in line with business strategies and MetLife people priorities.
  • Facilitate, coach, challenge and develop senior leaders and their teams to influence their individual and collective mindset, behaviour and performance in order to achieve targeted business outcomes
  • Lead talent management, succession and resource planning for your business area / s, partnering leaders in ensuring robust talent succession, acquisition, development and retention plans and solutions are in place and being actively managed
  • Coach, support, and challenge managers in the application of HR policies and practices, provide advice and guidance on HR issues in order to minimise risk and financial exposure, contracting specialist legal partners where appropriate
  • Work with and coach managers & employees on the performance management cycle, including employee performance improvement plans and / or employee relations issues
  • Ensure compliance with all pertinent HR-related laws and regulations.
  • Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills :

    Required :

  • The successful candidate will have 8+ years experience as a HR business partner, providing advice, challenge and coaching on all aspects of the people agenda to those in the client group.
  • In addition there is a need to provide organisational support on a number of projects in areas as diverse as employee engagement, compensation, talent management and culture change.

  • Experience of working in a large matrixed organisation is desired and interpersonal skills expected include the ability to be resourceful, influential, creative, focused, proactive and customer centric.
  • Proven previous experience working as an HR Business Partner within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with employment law with demonstrated experience in conflict resolution and negotiation
  • Bachelor Degree in related field
  • Preferred :

  • Masters degree preferred
  • CIPD or SPHR preferred
