Our client, based in Limerick currently has an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This is a full time, permanent position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer working within our Engineering Department, your role will involve taking conceptual 3D models and translating into working drawings for production.
You will be mentored by a senior member of the engineering team, however as the role progresses and evolves, it will have a high level of technical responsibility and require strong mechanical reasoning and problems solving.
You will be expected to use your initiative and drive projects to completion ensure quality and value are delivered to the customer.
Key Responsibilities :
Partnering with our customers to deliver cost effective technical engineering solutions.
Liaising with production for efficient project scheduling and resource planning, aligned to meet project requirements.
Interpreting and preparing drawings and specifications using Solidworks / Inventor and Sigma CAD / CAM / MRP software.
Collaborate with customers, engineers, sub-contractors, suppliers and in-house resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Ensuring all quality standards are adhered to by maintaining accurate records of all process steps.
Key Requirements :
Third Level Qualification (minimum Level 7), in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical and / Precision).
Experience in using 2D and 3D modelling software applications.
Must have excellent project and time management skills, with strong focus on attention to detail being essential.
Be flexible, dynamic with excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Some work experience in an engineering role e.g. internship or summer work would be advantageous.
An ideal candidate would be technically minded with a proven ability to problem solve in a mechanical design engineering environment.
