The Injection Molding Operator and Inspector will be in charge of monitoring all assigned molding machines. This person will ensure that molded parts conform to quality standards.
Someone in this role will inspect the quality of the product and determine the acceptability of the product based upon GMP and Inspection Procedures.
The third shift runs from 10 : 30pm - 7 : 00am starting Sunday night and ending Friday morning.
Duties and Responsibilities
Monitors automatic molding machines and ensures that parts conform to quality specifications.
Answers Press alarms to maximize press efficiencies.
Performs inspections by sampling for compliance to specifications (Dimensional, Functional and Visual).
Generates / prints molded specifications for proper documentation on inspections.
Reviews procedures to ensure compliance and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
Provides feedback on quality findings to appropriate personnel.
Reports processing problems to appropriate delegate for resolution.
Meets all quality, quantity and Good Manufacturing Practices to satisfy customer and Regulatory requirements.
Inspects molded components using internal gages / instruments (CMM, Calipers & etc.).
Operates measurement scales to determine machine production.
Correctly labels and identifies product for transport to Central Stores.
Maintains neat and orderly work area to ensure efficiency and no safety hazards.
Reviews paperwork for proper documentation to comply with GMP procedures.
Required Skills and Experience
Technical Knowledge and Skills :
High school diploma or equivalent education required.
Must be detailed oriented and have good manual dexterity and math skills.
Knowledge and experience in use of mechanical and electronic measurement and test equipment.
Mechanical ability and aptitude necessary.
Computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) preferred.
Time management, communication, fast pace and multi-tasking abilities.
Ability to read engineering or mechanical drawings preferred.
