A critical senior role within the O’Callaghan sales team, you will actively promote and sell the product and services of O’Callaghan Group Dublin Hotels, and where relevant on International sales activity Tamburlaine, Cambridge & Eliott Gibraltar focussing on maintaining and developing new corporate negotiated and transient business & MICE & leisure agents in the local and International markets.
Responsibility for the management and development and restructure of the Dublin sales team and ensure that they deliver results to achieve hotel budgets from the local corporate and M&E Market and manage the international MICE and leisure markets.
To work closely with UK sales team in developing accounts in MICE and Corporate Markets in this market and take responsibility for all European MICE markets
To work closely with the Head of marketing to ensure that a communication plan is delivered to key markets
Key Result Areas
To translate area strategies into local and regional tactical plans to drive budgeted revenue for OCH properties
To ensure smooth and clear communication between the group sales and hotel sales organizations
To build and establish agreed sales processes across the area to aid communication and commercial success
To represent OCH Dublin & in key markets for the company
To build relationships with existing clients.
To increase corporate contracted business both local and global to the group with local and UK team
To identify and create new relationships for all Dublin hotels from the corporate, Travel Trade & MICE segments.
To research and analyse Hotelligence / Agency 360 for all hotels to identify new leads and accounts for the group from all markets.
Identify a targeted number of new account opportunities from agency 360 both local and Internationally and acquire these accounts for the OCH group from all key markets with team.
To develop and increase meeting and event business both corporate and associations and manage the key C&E accounts and proactively drive new business with local team.
Plan & conduct sales calls overseas in key target markets as required.
To have a complete understanding of the hotels monthly forecast and the come up with continuous initiatives in order to achieve it in all key segments.
Management and development of the strategies relating to the sourcing, identifying and development of new business.
To manage familiarisation trips to nurture new business and highlight the unique features of the Dublin Hotels with local and UK team.
Training, development and on the job coaching of the local Sales Team, including succession planning and future talent banking
Participate at relevant tradeshows and networking events as required.
Attend internal and external meetings & events as required.
Attend training programmes that are relevant to the role and directed by the hotel.
Produce production reports as required by Group Revenue Manager and Group Director of Sales & SMT
To be flexible and adaptable in working in other key sales areas where necessary.
Willing to travel overseas as required
To work with Group DOS and Revenue in preparation of budgets and delivering a sales plan to target and achieve agreed budgets
