Liferay International is seeking an Accounting Manager for our expanding Dublin office. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Finance EMEA .

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a team within the EMEA Accounting Department, including developing and mentoring
  • Define roles, responsibilities and priorities within the team and delegate workload as appropriate
  • Setting goals and objectives for the team and monitoring against those goals
  • Apply a controls-based culture on financial oversight
  • Work closely with finance professionals in other regions
  • Demonstrate competency in complex accounting issues
  • Ensure that the month end, quarter end and year end close process of several international entities is executed accurately and timely in line with group reporting procedures
  • Oversee the timely and accurate filing of several (indirect) tax filings
  • Manage the preparation and timely filing of statutory accounts of international entities and management of external audits
  • Manage implementation of new and amended accounting standards
  • Ensure that all accounting procedures comply with applicable law and overall objectives
  • Knowledge of Inter-company transactions and transfer pricing
  • Budgeting, forecasting and cash management
  • Technical and job specific requirements

  • Accounting or Business degree (ACCA, CPA, ACA, etc.) or a comparable level achieved through exposure and experience
  • At least 3-5 years relevant working experience at a mid-senior level
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (Irish GAAP, IFRS and preferably US GAAP) and strong analytical skills to look after complex transactions
  • Strong experience in transfer pricing and complex inter-company transactions
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting and cost control principles
  • Experience with system implementations
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Consolidation experience preferable
  • Ability to think strategically, manage risk, and align future direction with priorities
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
