We are currently looking to recruit a Customs (import / export ) Analyst . This role is based in our Dublin, Ireland headquarters and reporting to the Director, Global Trade EMEA .
The Global Trade Operations team is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of Cardinal Health products and services in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements .
The team actively participates in the setup, operation and monitoring of import / export lanes in the region, interacts with government agencies as needed, provides guidance and support to logistics partners and other departments within the organisation on a variety of trade / customs -related topics, performs regular audits of processes and transactions .
Duties & Responsibilities : + Manage customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers and other service providers in the region;
Support 3PL / warehouse operations and inventory management in the region; + Experience in Core Trade Fundamentals such as : Harmonized Tariff Code Assignment, Customs Valuation, Country of Origin Determination and Marking, Free Trade Agreements, Document Creation, Audits, Export Controls, Trade Sanctions and Export Licensing requirements;
Support the compliant and efficient movement of products and services in the EMEA region through partnership with internal and external stakeholders;
Drive improvements on cost, lead time and process efficiency through data analytics; + Provide training to operations and business units regarding customs matters;
Support internal & external customs audits in the region; + Actively participate in function -related IT projects & process improvement initiatives;
Ability to work independently with limited oversight (if required ); + May need to act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues .
Qualifications & Requirements : + Bachelors in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred; + 5 + years' experience in related field preferred;
Experience in supply chain and logistics would be a plus; + Experience in managing direct reports preferred; + Effective communication skills and strong analytical ability;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; + Working knowledge of SAP, GTS, Tableau would be a plus . Cardinal Health is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer .
