Associate Project Engineer
The Associate Project Engineer will provide Engineering support delivering Quality, Service and Cost focused improvements on Supplier and Commercial projects.
Duties / Responsibilities :
This role will support the commercialization of existing products into new markets through collaboration with Commercial, Design and Regularity functions to meet product configuration, packaging and labeling requirements.
Responsibility to support Commercial and customer change requests to existing product configurations.
Ownership of documentation updates including BOM, PCI, Packaging labels and DMR.
Participate in cross functional teams consisting of Supplier Quality, Supply chain and Design in Supplier qualification projects to meet Quality, Cost or service requirements.
Completing product, process and material changes through Process characterization, validation (IQ, OQ, PQ), change control and documentation updates.
Take the lead in troubleshooting complex technical issues with a cross functional team including Supplier and in-house support in commercial, sustaining or improvement activities.
Perform other assigned tasks as directed by Supervisor.
Education / Experience :
2-4 years experience in the Medical Device Industry.
Minimum of a primary degree in an Engineering or Technical Discipline.
Specific Requirements :
Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated decision making competencies.
Very strong organizational, Project Management and communication skills.
Experience in Process characterization and Validation.
Meticulous attention to detail with a methodical and analytical approach to problem solving.
Flexibility to travel to vendor sites to support service and project activities.
Must be able to work in a dynamic environment with little supervision or daily direction.
Environmental Conditions :
Typical office environment with work also performed in Manufacturing areas in addition to supplier locations.
Some national and international travel will be required with role (approx. 5%).
