ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM :

The HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting the Global Talent Management Team as well as the Ireland Leadership team.

This role will play a key function in providing administrative support as well as tactical execution. Your role will require you to wear many hats and will be far from one-dimensional.

You will undertake a wide range of HR tasks from organizing training, new hire onboarding, managing employee benefits, handling performance management, managing the offboarding process, and ensuring compliance with our existing practices while helping make suggestions on how to improve them! You will be a point person for on the ground HR support in our Galway, Ireland office, and will be responsible for the coordination of our office and employee experience.

i.e. organizing events, ordering office supplies, coordinating visitors from other offices, etc.). You will also play a key role in candidate experience, managing our front desk and greeting all visitors and candidates.

You will partner closely not just with Galway Leadership, but also with our Talent Management, Employee Experience, Office Experience, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Training, Legal, and Payroll teams in the US.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Act in a highly accessible shared service role, partnering with all areas of HR and other internal clients.
  • Assist in coordinating and organizing learning and development initiatives.
  • Advising and supporting TKWW operational management in areas of HR strategy, culture, talent management, and benefits.
  • Provide support to employees and business leaders in various HR-related topics such as employee relations, performance management, onboarding, offboarding, policy creation, dissemination and compliance, and more.
  • Effectively partner with operational managers to manage employee relations and provide guidance on all HR related matters on an ad hoc basis.
  • Maintain and audit all job descriptions and hours worked by employees regularly.
  • Create and modify Powerpoint and Google Presentations to create visually appealing, branded decks for stakeholders.
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace, assisting as needed with the resolution of disciplinary matters and grievances in line with company policy and procedures, in a professional manner.
  • Manage documentation of all HR standard operating procedures, partnering with the Talent Management Team to record best practices and processes as they are developed with your assistance.
  • Ensure compliance with all Labor regulations, staying educated on current employment law and all updates to regulations.
  • Manage all employee personnel files, including hard and soft copies and all corresponding paperwork associated with leave and benefits.
  • Work within company HRIS to maintain accurate employee data.
  • Partner with Country Manager on accurate employee data and recording keeping, coordinating regularly with the US team.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance for the HR department.
  • SUCCESSFUL HR GENERALIST CANDIDATES HAVE :

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2 years of direct experience in HR
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist, Coordinator, or Administrator preferred
  • Resourceful, self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy
  • Strong understanding of general HR compliance and legislation
  • Good knowledge of employment and labor laws specific to Ireland
  • Prior HRIS experience
  • Excellent skills in PowerPoint and the Google Suite required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach
