Job Description

We are looking for a software engineer to join a collaborative team who work together to build, test, release and monitor Workday’s User Interface.

Based in Dublin, you’ll work closely with many teams to constantly improve our build and deployment processes as well as ensure extremely high quality and stability in our production systems.

Our customers include Amazon, Netflix, Target, Bank of America and Whole Foods - Workday is growing rapidly and we want your help to scale fast and efficiently!

Our team are responsible for making software delivery boring! That means :

Finding creative ways to automate CI / CD pipelines and reduce wait times.

Identifying improvements to service performance, resiliency, scalability and redundancy in production.

Improving the quality of our customer updates through deployment and monitoring automation.

Working closely with our growing Android and iOS teams to help drive the delivery of Workday’s mobile apps to market.

Experimenting with technology and ideas that progress the team forward!

What we are looking for :

Software Development Life Cycle knowledge - we are primarily a group of developers who build delivery software. You should be comfortable building and maintaining software projects as either a Software Developer or as an Operations Engineer.

Experience with a programming language like Java, Scala, C++ or Go.

Good Linux / Unix fundamentals.

A detail oriented, analytical mindset and a strong sense of ownership.

A collaborative team player with good verbal and written communication skills.

Bonus points for :

Experience with a CI tool like Bamboo or Jenkins.

Familiarity with Android and / or iOS delivery pipelines and publishing to Play Store and / or Apple Store.

Exposure to mobile test automation and pipeline tools like Crashlytics or TestFlight.

Experience with build and dependency management using tools like CocoaPods and Artifactory.

Experience with build languages like Gradle, Ant and Maven.
