Position Description

Working as part of the International Financial Shared Services Team, the position holder will support internal customers with specific financial activities.

This role will help to ensure an efficient, accurate and customer focused service is provided to our customers. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role has a significant part to play in the month end process in addition to day to day accounting responsibilities .

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journals to SAP
  • Assist in the completion of month end activities for various McKesson entities (accruals, prepayments, banks, intercompany etc)
  • Timely and accurate monthly balance sheet account reconciliations as per corporate standards
  • Take responsibility for statutory reporting requirements such as VAT, VIES for shared services customers and ensure returns are completed per deadlines
  • Support the compliance function in finance to meet statutory reporting requirements efficiently
  • Provide analytical reporting based on customer requirements
  • Work closely with Finance Manager to continuously improve processes & procedures.
  • Effectively develop and maintain good relationships with customers in a professional manner, adopting a customer focused attitude at all times
  • Support the team on variance analysis, cash flow forecasts and other ad hoc reports required
  • Education / Training :

    Business Studies related degree orequivalent

    Part qualified accountant or IATI(Institute Accounting Technicians Ireland) qualification is beneficial

    Experience : 3 / 4 years in Finance.

    3 / 4 years in Finance.

    Beneficial to have multinational experience

  • PC / Equipment :

    MS Office especially strong excel skills andexperience in SAP or a similar ERP Package

    Work Environment / Physical Demands :

    General office environment

    Travel, both regional and international maybe a requirement of this role

    May be a requirement to work Internationalhours from time to time
