Unique career opportunity to join RSA Insurances we are currently looking to hire the CEO Business Operations Partner, organising the smooth management of Ireland’s CEO office in Dublin.

As Business Operations Partner you will be given the opportunity to manage a number of key business processes and activities on behalf of the Ireland CEO.

This is a key role provides significant exposure to activities at executive level, and local, regional & group level, and engages with Senior Executive Leaders on matters of strategic importance (and in many cases of a highly confidential / sensitive nature) on behalf of the CEO.

There is, therefore, a need of high level of commercial acument, credibility and influencing skills, as formal authority is limited.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Organising the efficient day-to-day running of the CEO office, in line with their needs, team needs and priorities
  • Setting the CEOs strategic priorities : Helping the CEO identify the areas where they must direct their focus and identifying metrics for success.
  • Revisiting regularly and evaluating progress across the wider Executive Team

  • Strategically managing CEOs time : working with CEO / CFO’s Personal Assistant, looking at long term travel calendar, evaluating opportunities and determining alignment with priorities
  • Meeting preparation and follow up : reviewing upcoming meetings for the week to ensure CEO has all information needed to be as productive as possible and issuing / collating / cascading agendas or documents to meeting attendees as necessary
  • In partnership with Internal Comms function, inputting and reviewing Internal and External Communications : drafting company newsletters, reports, pitch decks, speeches or presentations for the CEO
  • Monitoring information flow : acting as a gatekeeper, ensuring CEO’s involvement in a project or decision-making process at the right moment
  • Maintaining Executive Team actions, monitoring progress and reminding the CEO of internal and / or external parties of their obligations, and generally ensuring timely action by all relevant parties
  • Dealing with all matters arising with incoming information and communication on behalf of the CEO, either responding or re-
  • directing, or passing them to the CEO with accompanying notes, briefing materials or recommendations

  • Facilitating effective business relationships between the CEO and the Executive team, external brokers, stakeholders, Group colleagues and other parties as required
  • Managing agreed high-profile executive projects and / or overseeing them on behalf of the CEO
  • In partnership with Finance, ensuring CEO is fully briefed and prepared for key business processes e.g. QBR’s and meetings with other Executives or external parties
  • Carrying out agreed operational activities on the CEO’s behalf, to the extent possible as to minimize the amount of time spent on routine matters enabling a key focus on issues
  • Preparing and / or coordinating the production of summary reports, papers, presentations, etc. for the CEO
  • Managing the Executive office budgets and routine procedures outside the scope of the PA role
  • Managing the priorities of the PA. Instructing, directing and coaching the PA.
  • Requirements :

  • Strong Project Management background, work planning and organisation
  • Background in Insurance / Financial Services Industry
  • Experience Developing and implementing Key business strategy and measuring outputs and success.
  • Driving changes through the highest level of the business
  • A consultancy background would be advantageous.
  • High levels of confidentiality crucial to this role due to the large amounts of sensitive issues and information that are dealt with
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in relationship management
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
